I have learnt over many years that Chantal is a wonderful teacher. Her approach to French lessons is always to put the student first, focusing on what each individual learner wishes to know, and tailoring specific lessons to their needs. She manages to pace her instruction according to the level of skills, knowledge and confidence of her students, so there is always a feeling of progress and success in speaking, writing and reading the French language. Besides all that, it's good fun! The learning environment is peaceful and so beautiful, with views from Chantal's teaching studio out into an exquisite garden and to the countryside beyond. One could not ask for more.

"Chantal brings a wealth of language teaching experience to her classes. She quickly determined my French level and tailored classes to suit my interests and goals. She was patient and very encouraging and always found interesting methods of expanding my vocabulary (cooking, videos, books). I initially booked 15 hours of lessons but enjoyed them so much that I ended up booking 30 hours. At the end of my lesson course I could communicate confidently in French, something that I had struggled to achieve with other teachers and courses over the years. I am very grateful to Chantal for her exceptional teaching skills and for providing such a supportive learning environment. I hope I can come back one day!" June 2016

We have just spent a week having daily lessons with Chantal. Our lessons were tailored to our needs with a great deal of forethought and they could not have been more enjoyable or instructive and with the added bonus of being held in a beautiful environment.  We loved our experience with Chantal, would highly recommend her and will be returning.

My daughter and I had daily private lessons for a week with Chantal and learned so much. She is an excellent teacher and tailored everything to our needs. She is a charming, lovely person and so helpful and kind. Learning French in France has to be the best way, but, for me, learning with Chantal is the very best way. I thoroughly recommend her to anyone wanting to learn! As an added bonus, you can stay at her gite or B&B room - really first-class, and the grounds and area are beautifully peaceful, yet a short stroll into Les Eyzies.

I have fond memories of Gite St Martin in Les Eyzies de Tayac : the house is very comfortable and pleasant, very picturesque of the region; The garden is spacious and peaceful I found I was able to relax there, I enjoyed visiting Les Eyzies and the region. There are many walks to do around the cottage. Lots of forests, hills and fields. Chantal and John make you feel very welcome. Chantal  knows French customs well and she equally understands English tastes: she knows how to combine them and we feel at home in her property. It is a real opportunity to spend a “linguistic “holiday in a French environment, in very good conditions. Thoroughly recommended! Christiane Beaugé, Paris

Chantal was my French teacher for two years and helped me much more than any other French tutor I have had. Chantal's teaching qualifications are evident in her explanations and her approach to learning - she designs lessons in an engaging and personalised way. I would recommend Chantal to anyone because she is an excellent teacher and I really enjoyed learning French with her.

I have been a student of Chantal's for about 2 years. The lessons have been wonderful, informative, educational and fun. Chantal goes to great trouble to find her students' interests and the class work is therefore interesting and stimulating. She also stretches and encourages her students. I believe that with her help, I have improved both in spoken and written French and in aural comprehension. I have no hesitation in recommending Chantal to anyone who wishes to learn French. I am looking forward to visiting France again and learning more French and having more fun in Tayac with Chantal. Liz Mc Cormack, Brisbane, Australia
