Studying French with Chantal was a wonderful experience.  Although I had a basic knowledge of French, Chantal helped me feel more comfortable with both conversational and written French.  She utilizes many resources to enrich the learning process.  I was never bored!  We watched videos from a French TV site and discussed them in French.  She showed me how to access these sites at home as well as giving me names of French novels which I could read.  Chantal is a lot of fun, not intimidating but challenged me to break through my comfort zone and "parle français" !  I highly recommend Chantal to anyone who wants to learn or improve their French.  Speaking the language makes your time in France so much more enjoyable.    Beth Gibson, November 2017

My daughter and I had daily private lessons for a week with Chantal and learned so much. She is an excellent teacher and tailored everything to our needs. She is a charming, lovely person and so helpful and kind. Learning French in France has to be the best way, but, for me, learning with Chantal is the very best way. I thoroughly recommend her to anyone wanting to learn! As an added bonus, you can stay at her gite or B&B room - really first-class, and the grounds and area are beautifully peaceful, yet a short stroll into Les Eyzies. 

Mon séjour au gite St Martin aux Eyzies de Tayac est un très bon souvenir : la maison est très confortable et agréable, très pittoresque de la région ; le jardin est spatieux et calme. J'ai pu y trouver du repos, du plaisir à découvrir la petite ville et les environs très typiques. Il y a aussi plein de ballades à pied à faire. La nature est boisée avec des collines et pâturages. Chantal et John sont très accueillants. Chantal connait autant les habitudes françaises que les gouts anglais : elle sait très bien marier tout cela et on se sent très à l'aise dans son lieu. Chantal was my French teacher for two years and helped me much more than any other French tutor I have had. Chantal's teaching qualifications are evident in her explanations and her approach to learning - she designs lessons in an engaging and personalised way. I would recommend Chantal to anyone because she is an excellent teacher and I really enjoyed learning French with her.

I have been a student of Chantal's for about 2 years. The lessons have been wonderful, informative, educational and fun. Chantal goes to great trouble to find her students' interests and the class work is therefore interesting and stimulating. She also stretches and encourages her students. I believe that with her help, I have improved both in spoken and written French and in aural comprehension.
